The U.S.S. Wrath of Achilles has just completed construction and completed the necessary shake down cruise and has been signed off as completed. Captain Amanda Mitchell will formally be receiving command of the ship at the dedication ceremony at Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards and will be meeting her Senior Officers for the very first time.

It happened and nobody was aware the Galaxy is at war with each other and the Federation has fallen. Only a few planets remain the Crew of the Wrath of Achilles are rushing to put the finishing touches on the ship when the attack came. The Klingons began a full assault on the station. The Achilles is the only ship capable of defending itself as the station is being pounded on by the attacking force.

A Month after the events of Upon a burning flame, the Federation is badly losing the war. After hearing news that the Seventh Fleet was obliterated, Colonel Hunt and his command crew are assigned to capture a Klingon attack ship. The Federation hopes that this strike would stem the tide of the war.
